Patient Zone

Welcome to the patient zone.

The NIHR WoundTec HTC is focused on improving quality of care for patients.

As a patient, we need your input to help us identify your needs and to capture your ideas that we can then use to design and develop the next generation of wound care products that will improve the management of your wound(s) and enhance not only your clinical outcome, but your quality of life and your experience of treatment.

Alternatively, if you want to share a story or if you want more information regarding the role of the NIHR WoundTec HTC please contact us here.

We want your clinical needs

To improve wound care products and therapies we need to identify real problems that multidisciplinary teams can solve in their product design processes. The identification of unmet needs is the greatest single accelerator that can lead to the development of new wound care products that can help improve the quality of life of people just like you.

To help you identify your needs, the following might be useful.

  1. What is your biggest need?
  2. What is the limitation(s) of the product(s) that you are currently using or have used?
  3. Do the wound management products you are currently using interfere with your daily life or your ability to do your job?
  4. Ask your family and friends whether they think you have any needs (around wound care) that are not currently being addressed.

If you have a clinical need or problem that current products (that you have been offered) do not address please fill out the form below.  Please describe what your need is and articulate why existing wound care products, therapies or services do not address your needs.

If you have a specific idea for a potential new product please use the submit an idea form.
